Zoo Day!

Walking a little ledge...
Naming the animals on the sponsorship wall...

Flipping informational flaps...
"Hey, There are animals here!"
I took William to the zoo yesterday in honor of our anniversary and because we had great weather for it! I am so glad that the zoo is free because William pays almost ZERO attention to the animals. He will meander around happily playing with fences, trashcans, shrubbery, etc. He does get excited when he sees common animals that he sees at home, like squirrels and chickadees and then I always get a little irritated, because I didn't have to drive 40 min through DC traffic for him to squeal at a squirrel!

hehe! What a typical one year old! You are sure lucky that your zoo is free. I love the zoo but it is way too expensive!

We have been really lucky to live in 3 places with free zoos! Woodland Park is crazy expensive! It is so unfair for families.

Speaking of the birdies at home, did your doves hatch? We have seen various parents feeding fledgling downy woodpeckers, chickadees, and house finches. Scrappy and her babies still dine up here too.

I think something ate them, one day they were all gone including the parents.
