We Now Resume Normal Programming...

We got the camera! Hurray for pictures! It felt so weird not to be able to take pictures for those few days. This picture was taken in a tube at the playground, that's why it's a strange tint. William is sort of better, no fever, but he's really congested and has a bad cough. I brought him to the Dr and she gave us a prescription to bring with us to WA just in case. I am getting organized for the trip and am getting very excited to get there!

It's Gettin' Hot in Here!!

Saturday afternoon William developed a fever of 103.5, but other that seeming tired, he had no other symptoms. Since then he hasn't dropped back down below 100 even on tylenol or ibuprofen. It is so scary! I am taking him to the Dr tomorrow. I suspect Roseola, but I will let her decide. Until then, we are snuggling, drinking lots of grape Pedialyte, and watching lots of Sesame Street. I just hope he's all better before next Wednesday when we leave for Seattle!

Where the Heart Is...

In 12 days William and I will be heading home to Seattle. I can't wait. I love coming home so much. Jason can't go this time, since he is trying so hard to get so many projects wrapped up, but he is willing to bach it for a while. There is a camera on it's way to me right now, so pictures will resume soon.

Update...

Our camera finally breathed it's last breath. So now we are looking for a new one. William is totally recovered, and is back to his old vibrant self. Our dear friends Ann G and Ann K came to see us on Monday and we had a ball. We went to Mt Vernon and did some shopping, which is always fun. William loved having all the attention, and even referred to Ann K as Grandma this morning! So cute! I will post more pictures as soon as I get a new camera...

In the Trenches...

Man! Parenting is tough when vomit is involved. I am not great at dealing with vomit in general, even as a nurse, but I do my best when it is my own little puker. I feel so bad for him! He is just laying here, so sick. He has been asleep much of the day, and when not sleeping he is either having diarreah or vomiting. Poor baby. I hope he recovers quickly, and by some miracle we don't all get it!

Meadowside Nature Center...

Today we headed to the Meadowside Nature Center to check it out. It was great! William and I went on a hike in the woods and then saw lots of birds on display. We saw a bald eagle, and a vulture, and quite a few owls. All the birds had been injured and couldn't be re-released into the wild. William loved the owls, and kept hooting at them. So cute! We ended the outing in the discovery room where they had lots of fun toys and a bunch of tanks with reptiles in them that are native to the area. We had a great morning and will definitely be coming back!

The Olive Tunnel....

Today at the Pizza Playground...

April 2009

November 2008
Crazy how time flies! I love taking pictures in the same spots so you can see how much he has changed. It's amazing how much he fills up the olive now! LOL!

Givin' the Boy an Edzoocation...

William was OBSESSED with these statues today! Here he is on the Red Panda...

Sitting in the Panda Bears lap...

An ACTUAL Panda Bear...

The River Otters...

The Sloth Bear...

Kissing the bear...
The beloved Elephant...

At the Pizza Playground...

William and I made our way to the zoo again today. We had a good time, even though it was crowded with school groups. William was totally fixated on the statues today, which is funny since he has always been afraid of them before. He was wiped after the trip and fell asleep before we even left the parking lot!

Super William!

William seemed to think this was the required equipment to be a super reader! He kept saying stuff from Super Why while he was riding around in this ensemble! Too cute!

Monocacy Battle Field Hike...

They made the trail wheelchair accessible which worked out great for William. Jason just kept telling him to stay on the "bridge"!

Checking out the Monocacy River...

Lil' Willy Reb...

William enjoyed this "create your own headline" newspaper set up...

What little boy doesn't love climbing on cannons?

William and Daddy went out for a history lesson and some exercise today at the Monocacy Battlefield. The battles started on July 9th 1864 and lasted 3 days. The Union Soldiers won. It is a very green, hilly area and it looked like it would have been a heck of a place to try and fight a battle, there were hiding places everywhere!

It was such a mess!

Brushing goats at the zoo....

We got to feed the giraffes again...I love that!
We had such a nice trip, filled with sun, ocean waves, great friends, and wonderful food. William had such a great time running all over with the kids, they were so sweet to him, and Julia even got him to eat! He adored poor Abby, and she tolerated him with so much patience. It was so great for Jason and I to see the kids again, they all change so quickly! They are all so smart, and have such great personalities, and Claire is at that adorable singing stage, which Jason and I love. I am so glad we got such a nice break from all the stress we have been under lately!
