First Ice Cream Cone!

A really nice playground at the Elementary School.

Workin' the Simmons' Boy Charm... too bad it's his cousin!

Yesterday we met up with Solon and family for Gabriela's belated birthday. We gave her a doll house and she and Alessandra LOVED it! I think it should come with 2 of every piece though, to reduce fighting. We went over to a neighborhood that Solon and Andrea are thinking of moving to. It is really a nice family area, lots of parks and good schools. They had an ice cream place that had frozen custard like we used to have in Madison, so we were all thrilled. Will had his first ice cream cone, and didn't actually make too much of a mess with it! We got home kinda late, but it was well worth it!

Probably not going to be an olympic swimmer...

I will let you caption this one for yourselves. Will was less than thrilled by his trip to the pool today. I hope he warms up to it soon as I was planning on using it daily this summer!

Wee Willie Scotsman

Aunt Molly got William this adorable kilt, gilly shirt, and sporran in Edinburgh. Too cute! He actually didn't seem to mind wearing it either.

Popstickles are great for teething!

The pediatrician told me that popsicles are great for numbing teething pain. I don't know how well it works for the pain but it gave us about 20 minutes of entertainment!

This Week...

Will and I have been busy having lots of fun this week. Despite my sprained ankle, I have been getting out and honestly I think it has done a lot to improve my mood. Baby gym was short but sweet this week, Will saw his bottle in the diaper bag and decided he wanted it enough to leave early. We joined in on a neighborhood story time at a local kids store, and it was really fun, but there were only 2 moms there, everyone else was a nanny. We also went to Target, the Consignment store, the toy store, and at least one park trip a day. I have to work all 3 days of this long weekend, which is going to stink with my bad ankle. Will has 2 new teeth that have broken through, a canine on the top and a molar on the bottom. He is also adding to his vocabulary rapidly. Recent additions are hippo, mop, bubble, choo-choo train and turtle. He has perfected Kitty and says it really often. He is still saying "Sh*t" but we just say " Sheep? Yes, sheep say Baa!" but quite honestly since he says it when he drops something or falls, I don't think we are fooling him.

The Little Chef

Saturday I got William this great kitchen for a whopping 10 bucks! He seems to like it so far, if nothing else it is something else to empty out each day. I had saved all the great play food from my daycare so I had some really cool stuff to fill it with. I look forward to many cups of "coffee"and many spoon fulls of "soup" served from this kitchen!

Oxon Hill Farm

We started off today by going to a big community yard sale. I found a little tikes kitchen for Pudd and I had a great time cleaning it and setting it up! I had forgotten all the fun play food stuff I had when I did daycare. Will doesn't quite get it yet, but he will. We came home and got packed up and went south to the Oxen Hill Farm. It is actually a National Park, and is a working historical farm based in the 1800's. Very cool. Will had a ball as you can tell. It was really hot and muggy though so we didn't stay a real long time. We then ran errands and came home. Will is in the tub now and I think will be very happy to get to bed after such a busy day!
