Feeling Better...

Still Feeling a Little Puny...
I took Maya and William to another indoor play space....They had a real firetruck!

Here is a blurry, but full shot of the truck...

Will was cookin' up a storm in the kitchen...
They had this fantastic sand area, they even had a boat!

The Croup Barks at Midnight....

We had quite an adventure early Friday morning. William woke us up at 2:00 am coughing and wheezing like crazy. I honestly thought he had inhaled some small thing and it had caught in his windpipe! He was coughing and gagging, and it was very scary. He basically couldn't speak and was acting strange. We loaded him up in the car and rushed him to the ER. They immediately diagnosed it as croup and gave him steroids orally and epinephrine in a nebulizer. It was a strange experience for all of us. We were there until 4:30am, and I was so happy that we got out before it started getting light out! I was afraid that if we didn't William wouldn't go back to sleep. He has continued on the steroids the last 3 days and we have seen a lot of improvement. He still has a smoker voice, but at least it sounds as though he switched to filters. LOL! Other wise we are all fine. Jason starts his new job tomorrow, I started teaching injection classes at the clinic, and William is potty trained. As long as we refer to his pee-pee as putting concrete into the cement mixer (the potty) he loves to do it and I haven't changed a diaper in 4 weeks! Whoo-hoo! As for the gummi bear, it seems to be growing well and I am feeling pretty good, just very tired. I could hibernate all the way through the first trimester...if only it were possible!

Apple Picking Time!

Chickens!
Waiting for Daddy to come with feed...

Contemplating the cup of feed....
That goat behind William looks very interested in the cup!
The big highlight of the day!!
Bye Guys! I'm gonna go plow the back 40!
More chickens...
William made that chicken feed last a long time, and almost got his fingers pecked more than once by trying to feed it to them one grain at a time!
The baby calf...
He was SO soft and loveable! I could have sat there scratching him all day!
Picking his first apple!
Working our way down through the orchard...

In the tree with William...

Lots of apples to pick...
William "helped" by taking the apples from Daddy and then throwing them into the bag, bruising many...
Almost done...
This morning we got up nice and early and headed out to pick apples at Homestead Farm. It was a great morning, not too hot or buggy. William had a good time and though he wasn't really all that interested in the actual apple picking, he loved being outside and running around between the trees. We picked about 25 pounds of apples, so that should keep us busy for a while! I have a feeling I will be forced to make an apple pie tonight....and then forced to help eat it! Happy Fall everyone!

Parks, Potties and Pantlessness...

William is currently without pants at home, to assist potty training...It seems to be working!
William demonstrates how he gets a drink of water...you can imagine how this looks without pants!

We spent a long time at the park on Saturday, enjoying this lovely weather.
William looks very melancholy here....

Capn' Will in his pirate ship...

Will and Daddy were climbing the cargo net. Will made it all the way to the very top and back down again!
I am not sure where this weekend went. I worked both days, but yesterday after work we had to run errands. William got a hair cut as you can see. He really needed it, his hair was getting really tangled and he hates when I comb it out. It's easier to keep it shorter, though I miss his curls. We stopped at the big squashy playground on the way home and played for quite a while, then went to Star Diner for dinner and played in the square again. I am so glad we didn't move far from our old area, we can still enjoy the Kentlands, but we don't have to pay the cost of living in them! Today Will and Daddy ran errands so I could take a nap when I got home. The littlest Simmons is making me pretty tired and I wish I could just sleep all day. The sad thing is though, it isn't restfull sleep, it's light and I wake up frequently. Very frustrating! Otherwise this baby is doing well, 117 beats per minute yesterday and it is measuring perfectly. On the potty training front: We haven't changed a daytime diaper since last Monday! One week tomorrow! Will seems to have actually gotten it this time, and is even taking himself to the potty all on his own, and is staying dry at naptime! We still put him diapers at night, but I am not having to wash any diapers! Whoo hoo! He is using public potties with no problem and seems to be able to go at least 2 hours without having to go at all! That's longer than me!

Thanks Grandma!

My Mom made William this super cool John Deere blanket! He loves it!
Fireman Bob is climbing the mountain to save the people from the fire!
Go Bob!

Daddy and William were working in the attic last weekend. William found an old coffee cup up there and grabbed my cell phone for that "Contractor" look...
He is obsessed with these stairs!

Lots of playground action...

William's Life Will Never Be The Same...

We are still trying to believe it ourselves, but there is indeed a little heartbeat in there going 97 beats per minute! Sorry these ultrasound pictures are so blurry, the scanner just can't seem to get a good, clear scan of them. We are all very excited at the idea of this new little monkey and I am thrilled to be pregnant over winter again! I can't imagine being 9 months pregnant here in the summer... Will is very eager for a baby sister, so we will see if we can manage to get him one. I think both Jason and I feel like either one would be fine, and after all, there isn't anything we can do about it! It's decided all ready! So, sometime around May 5th 2011 a new little Simmons should be making an appearance....only 32 more weeks to go! LOL!

Children's Museum with Cousins!

William spent a LOT of time at the Bob the Builder Exhibit... This was a "water pump" with blue plastic balls taking place of real water...
William is clearly enjoying riding Muck...
This was a magic radio where you could experience all the irritating voices one more time....
William kept trying to eat these dirty rubber carrots, but if you give him a real one he won't even taste it!
William was working hard in the workshop...
This saw kind of scared him at first, but then he overcame his fear and played with it a long time!
This is Will's favorite BtB character: Scoop...
All the kids liked this factory game. You had to fit the correct pieces in the shapes in a set amount of time, who ever got the most in won!
William loves this water area, and I love the raincoats they provide!

Miss Gabbi was having a great time at the water table...
The girls managed to do the bubble tube quite a few times, I was very impressed!

Will loved the window washing activity, I wonder if I can get him to do it at home?
The kids played a long time in the 50's diner. Alessandra and Gabbi were cookin' up a storm!
The ever popular ball pit... With Will's favorite John Deere tractors tossed in for fun!
Will and Gabbi got a surprise meeting from Bob himself! Will gave him a high five, but Gabbi ran up and hugged him! I think if you look closely, you can see the guys chin under the head! LOL!
