Too Much of a Good Thing?

Wall of pillows...
Will has toys. A lot of toys. These are almost all leftovers from my daycare days that I held on to just in case we ever had a baby. We have a coffee table that I moved over next to the bookcases because it gave us more floor space and it is notorious for injuring children. It has really sharp corners. William is determined every day to injure himself on the table at least once. He makes a bee line for it as soon as I put him down, so I put up a wall of pillows blocking it. He now plays on the pillows. Occasionally he plays with toys but much of his time is spent playing with the table, pillows or trying to get his leg stuck under the bookcase. I could have saved a lot of money!

I am constantly amazed at this little quirk of children. They are beyond understanding. Lucy will have a huge room of baby safe toys to play with but she will find the one thing on the floor that she should not touch/hold/suck on. It is frustrating. I also love it when they first get really good at crawling and end up with a forehead full of bruises. It makes me look like such a great parent.
