Loose ends...

Yesterday we had our first pooing on the floor incident. It was lovely. Let's just say dinner wasn't ready for a while. This morning the antibiotic induced diarreah started with a bang. I opened his pajamas and ZOWIE! it was down both legs and up the back! We are in disposables for the rest of today. That is one huge downside to cloth, you have to clean off the poo. Not a big deal when it is a nice solid mass, but when it is a yucky, runny mess it is a whole other story! Yesterday was a really rough day for me. I have been having a few of those lately. I am not sure if it is caused by my pills or just me. I am so afraid to go off the pill though. There are so many days right now when I am feeling overwhelmed with one I can't even imagine how I would feel with two. It doesn't seem fair to Will or future baby to risk it. I feel so guilty because William was so desperately wanted, and yet now that he is here there are days I just want to run away as fast as I can! On a happy note Will says Poo-poo and Pee-pee when he goes in his diaper. I never knew a kid who started recognizing the sensation so early. Maybe we will potty train easier...

For me personally the pill made me absolutely kooky. I feel so much better when I am off of it. Something about those synthetic hormones just do me in.

I feel your pain with the diarrhea. It is no fun and you have a ways to go. I think everyone goes through the Eeeeeek! What have I gotten myself into! stage when they have little ones. It gets better I promise. What I know from experience is that if you were to get pregnant now, by the time another little one would get here you would be ready. Will may always be a busy guy. Just keep working with him. Soon you will start to see some progress. Impulse control is one of the hardest things to wait out but it does come in time. Hang in there. We all have days we want to get in the car and drive far, far away....

Oh man, that sounds hectic.
As for the pill, here is an update on Mirena. I love it. I have only had the string poke me twice in the 5 months I have had it. I have had NO period and I have had no side effects or PMS symptoms. Maybe it is another option.

I have considered Mirena. I have another friend who swears by it too. I love the idea, but the string weirds me out a little! Is it a soft string or stiff? Has Travis complained? (Ha,ha!, but you get my drift)

The string freaked me out before I got it but the nurse explained that if done properly it should just curl around the cervix and be un noticeable. If it is too short generally that is when the guy will feel it and it will hurt but if it is not then they can't feel it. She also gave good advice and not telling the man that there is even a possibility of them feeling anything because as she said.. if they know it is there they "feel" it.
It starts out pokey kind of stiff but overtime it does get softer. It adjusted once in 5 months and I noticed it walking around poking me but I was able to readjust the string and haven't noticed it since.
If your insurance covers it I would say it is worth atleast trying, but if it does not cover it, It can be costly if it doesn't work for you.
