I love his expression in the second picture. He looks like he is being inspired! His daddy is so brave to do painting with a one year old. His uncle's not nearly so brave. hehe!
He did one, in red, and then started a blue one. I guess he then freaked out and wanted to be done! So I only got a red one. I think he was pretty brave too! I want to start doing more art with him though, he really seems to like it. The crayola washable paint seems surprisingly washable too, so that is encouraging.

Did he make two? Or did he just get so excited over the red that it covered up the blue?

I have never had any issue with the crayola washable stuff. It certainly lives up to its name in my book!
