Romp n' Roll

Will and I made it to open gym today. There weren't as many bigger kids there so Will was more rambunctious than usual. He has been thrilled with life lately and is expanding his vocabulary rapidly! He said "mail" and "hole" today. I love that he can communicate more now, he is signing more phrases now, such as "more please". He also says "read" and then signs "please" and will sometimes say "please" and the same time. I wonder how long it will take him till he stops signing when he speaks the word out loud? We are in a definite honeymoon of parenting right now. We are just enjoying him so much these days, he is so darn cute!

I think my kids usually signed please until they were almost 2. And they would say the word. Sometimes the more they wanted something the more they would sign it and say it. If it was a piece of candy I usually got a head nod, please and signed please all together. It was like they were trying to tell me without the vocab that they REALLY wanted what I was offering.

That is SO cute! Will does that too, especially for chocolate! If you hold out an M and M he signs please over and over FAST and says "Peas". So funny! Hey Sam- When can I expect foot growth to taper off? Please tell me I won't be buying a new pair every 3-4 months for the rest of his growing up years!

I think the taper off for foot growth is around 2 and a half or 3. Unfortunately that is quite a way off. You never know what they are going to do. Just keep getting them checked and if you are like me resort to buying a full size big rather than just a half. When they grow so fast I don't feel guilty about the too big shoes. Plus my kids have never really tripped over their own feet with just a half size too big.
