Update: Flu Scare

I took Molly to the clinic this morning and they tested her for flu and strep. They both came back negative! Whoopee! However, after listening to her lungs and based on her other symptoms the Dr decided that Molly had pneumonia. Very sad, but at least it can be cured with antibiotics and she isn't contagious! So Will and Molly can be in contact now. I am so glad, I hated the idea of Molly having to stay closed up all week away from us. I got the z-pack and Molly should be feeling better soon!

I am very glad to hear that she is ok! Is there a huge H1N1 outbreak in your area or something?

It is here, but there were more cases in Leeds, UK. She was around a sick person at a party on the 2nd, and she got sick on the 5th, so the timing was perfect for the H1N1 virus. She started the Zpak and her temp is breaking this evening. Down to 101 now! Hurray! She has been sleeping a lot and I am making her drink a ton of Gatorade. Will is fine, other than a snotty nose, but he seems to always get that after his shots...

What's a z-pack?

Azithromycin, it's a pack of antibiotics that you take just one pill a day for 5 days, but it works in your body for up to 10! It's nice to not have to take it more than once a day.

Gotta love the zithromax! Poor Molly! Get well STAT! I am glad it isn't H1N1 for Will's sake, but Molly isn't getting a very nice holiday. I hope you can still have some fun.
