Will has been having a problem pedaling his bike.  We honestly thought he just wasn't very good at it, but then we realized, it was too small for him!  Ooops!  I have a side gig at the moment, so we headed off to Target last night and came home with this.  Will is riding SO much better now!  He loves it, and I am so impressed at what a huge difference it has made.  We also got a deal on a used DSLR camera, which I have been drooling  over for a long time, and tonight Jason brought it home.  I had lots of fun taking pictures tonight, and getting to know my new toy.

A Man on the Move...

This morning at 9:00am EXACTLY, Charlie took 2 solid steps!  Whoohoo!  He spent the rest of the day cruising again, but then teasing us by standing around, crouching, and taking one step here and there.  I figure that he will probably be walking for real within the week.  He is so much fun these days, and now in his 12th month, we are kinda sad to see him turning into a toddler, but are loving all these new developments!

Dinner at the Diner...

We finished the day with a nice dinner at the local diner.  The juke box system was finally repaired, so William was thrilled and so was I! 

Boys Day Out...

Jason took the boys on a hike today while I was at work.  I am so sad I missed out on this, but I am so happy that the boys had such a great day!  I love seeing Charlie's expressions, and I always love to see William enjoying nature.  He is such a born explorer! 

William at 4...

Will had his well child exam this morning and he is doing really well!  He failed the vision screen, so we have to take him to the Opthamologist, but otherwise he was healthy as can be.  He was 42.3 inches tall, up from 39.1 inches last year.  He weighed in at 39.5 pounds, up from 37 pounds last year.  I am amazed at how tall he is getting.  The slow weight gain didn't really surprise me since he never eats anything.  I think he is going to be a lot like Jason in the way he eats, grazing little bits here and there, and eating one good meal a day.  He had to get 2 shots and a finger stick so he was pretty upset, but nothing cures like a chocolate sundae at 11am!

Going in for a closer inspection.  Sorry it's blurry, but you get the idea.

Summer is here, and since we are outside so much, Charlie's feet are getting pretty scuffed up.  I decided that I needed to get some shoes for him since he is still crawling more than walking and his little toes were looking sad.  He found the whole experience very interesting, and was very confused by these things on his feet.  He isn't a fan so far, but I hope he will grow to like them....

William Turns 4, Part 1....

Will opened his present from Charlie early in the day.  He loved it!

Will is a very lucky little boy, with lots and lots of presents, so we split them up.  Some were opened tonight and some will be opened tomorrow...

Aunt Tissa sent a dog and book set that Will really, really loved.  The stuffed animal reacts as you read the book!  Neato!

Hunger Strike...

Charlie has been refusing to eat baby food.  I really didn't have any idea what was going on.  He was still drinking bottles happily, so his refusal of his old favorites made no sense to me.  Today I decided to give him finger foods, and lo and behold, he went to town and ate 1/2 a hotdog, a 1/4 cup of peas, 2 tablespoons of carrots, and 1/2 a container of pears, plus two crackers.  Wow!  He is so independent!  My baby is growing up...
