Costco Intrigues Me...

Saturday I went to Costco to get all the various crap we get there. I enjoy watching what other people have in their carts, and guess what the heck they are going to do with it. I saw a woman that was in one of those wheelchair/scooter things and she had 12 packs of Spam in her basket. Why in the world would anyone want that much Spam? She didn't look Hawaiian. I have heard they have a love for it. I haven't had Spam in at least 20 years. There was also a man with one of those 100 packs of Trojans, a case of water, a 3 pack of Head and Shoulders, and a box of Cheerios. I found that one quite funny. You need the Head and Shoulders to use the Trojans I guess! I will be deleting this one after a few days, since I don't think it should be on here for posterity. Do you watch people at Costco? Do you eat Spam?

I used to collect the lost shopping lists from walmart. People would have strange things like "long matches so I don't burn myself again". As for Spam, I know it has been at least 20 years since I've had it, but it really is popular in Hawaii. At the Mcd's there, the hotcakes and sausage included 2 scoops of rice and sliced spam. I don't know why.

No to the spam and yes to the watching people. Eric and I are always amazed at the HUGE bills people rack up. I think sometime people just shop there for the "big purchase" items. We shop there for the day to day stuff!

We usually keep it around 100-150 a month. Water, cheese, chicken boobs. Jason has a fixation with buying paper products in really large quantities though so we buy a case of paper towels and it lasts us a year! I never use paper towels. We also buy our TP there, so when we do run out it's such a shock!

The paper products really are a great deal there. It is hard to justify buying them at the grocery store when you can get 6 times the amount at Costco. You are lucky to only spend that much. I think Costco runs us around 450 a month. But then again, I hardly shop at the normal grocery store anymore.
