William and Daddy went hiking with a group of Daddy's co-workers on Saturday. They had a good time, and William spent a lot of time running wild in the forest. Jason brought the back pack carrier as well, so William rode a lot too!

In honor of our first day back home, Daddy took the day off and planned us a fun day of berry picking! William loved the farm animals, and ate about pound of berries. I was reminded how back breaking strawberry picking is, and will now be more willing to pay extra for the pre picked berries, although NOTHING compares to the flavor of fresh picked berries!

A Milestone...

William scored FREE Ice Cream today at the Kentlands Festival...
It was really hot, and there was no shade, so I think it helped to cool him off...

This is our amazing castle that I scored off Craigslist. William adores it!

Perhaps it was the castle purchase, but today, after nap time, William was laying on my chest, snuggling away. He then squeezed me, and said " I LOVE YOU MAMA!" in the sweetest little voice. Note: There was no asking him to repeat it, and I didn't say it first!!! It made me feel SO great! At last, I am getting validation for all the love and effort I have been pouring into this lad for the last 2 years. Fantastic. I even cried. But just a little.

We Now Resume Normal Programming...

We got the camera! Hurray for pictures! It felt so weird not to be able to take pictures for those few days. This picture was taken in a tube at the playground, that's why it's a strange tint. William is sort of better, no fever, but he's really congested and has a bad cough. I brought him to the Dr and she gave us a prescription to bring with us to WA just in case. I am getting organized for the trip and am getting very excited to get there!
