Hurray for Birthdays!
and he refuses to ride on it....
Big present from Grandma...
Hurray! It's a Garbage Truck!
He played with it all morning and much of the evening!
We joined Maya and Rachel at the Greene Turtle...
Maya was a lovely lunch partner...
Maya, Rachel and Steve gave William this awesome dump truck!
Mommy was crazy enough to get him a goldfish named Dorothy....
Needless to say William had a wonderful birthday and it isn't over yet! Tomorrow we are having cake and ice cream with Solon and family. We had a great day today, we went to story time at the library and lunch with Rachel and Maya. William and I picked out a special goldfish for a whopping 23 cents and I am sure she or he will become a treasured member of this house. I asked William what the goldfish's name was and of course he said Dorothy, just like in Elmo's World! So cute! William made a great haul and so many people were so kind and gave him such nice things. He is a very lucky boy! Two years have flown by, and we love him more and more all the time!
♥Happy Birthday William!♥
Today is the day! I will post pictures later, but I am just so happy that my little man is 2!

I Guess it Couldn't Last Forever or Time to Pay the Piper...
Sleep. I worked hard in those first few weeks to develop my young lad into a great sleeper and I did. He slept great from about 10 weeks on. 8 hour stretches at night, then 10, then 12!!! Wow! What a great kid! "We should have another baby!" I thought, "We are so good at this!" Just 2 months ago he slept from 8 to 8 and took a 1-2 hour nap every day. Then one day he discovered he could climb out of his crib, then he discovered he could turn the knob, then he discovered he could turn our knob! Damn. So now we have a child who isn't napping at all, is getting up at 5:30 or 6 every morning, and is crabby all afternoon because he isn't getting enough sleep! I continue to put him in his room every day for 2 hours, for my own sanity if nothing else, and he spends that time filling his crib with almost everything he can get his hands on. He also will stand at the baby gate and yell for me. I ignore him. Thankfully, bedtime is still great. He goes down easily and stays down till the "morning". We are not morning people here though, so this little morning lark isn't really appreciated. He is adorable though, he comes in bright and cheery and goes "Hi Man!" and snuggles in to bed with us until we can no longer stand the morning antics. So, all in all, I guess I should be happy that we did get 2 good years, and soon he will be old enough to turn on the TV in the morning until a decent hour...

One Week!
We spent the afternoon shopping for his birthday. We got 3 new books, a new truck, and he has a new Elmo dvd waiting for him. I plan to keep this birthday very low key. Solon and Andrea and the girls will come over, and I think we will just have simple food and a cake. I am planning on making a dump truck cake though, so we will see if he can recognize it!
Future Olympian?
William has been watching the Olympics with Jason and I and he is very intrigued by the skating and skiing. He decided to use his fisher price train flat bed cars as skates, which we thought was quite ingenious!
