All Packed Up!

We are ready. If it isn't in the car it simply isn't going. We are leaving for Indiana bright and early, and thanks to a hotel with wi-fi and a laptop you won't have to wait till we return for updates! Pray for a safe journey for us all!

Redirection...

Child experts tell you that instead of punishment you should redirect inappropriate activities into an appropriate activity. Hence the tub crayons. I think he looks like a "Lost Boy" with the crayon on his face!

Baby's First Graffiti

He looks innocent enough, doesn't he?
He has proven however that he has a
future as a no-goodnick street thug.
See the example below...
William chose my tablecloth as his first surface to deface. A rebel without a cause.

Anticipation...

I think one of the most interesting parts of this parenting thing is watching the neurons connecting in baby's little brain. William is so impressive at times. For example, when we listen to music he knows what song comes next on a CD, he anticipates the next page in a book, and it doesn't take him long to memorize it. Crazy. I have always believed that much of intelligence is not inborn. I think almost all kids have a infinite capacity to learn and it is only how well we cultivate it that makes them either considered intelligent or not later. They are little sponges. I am busily pouring knowledge on mine and watching him puff up. It is fascinating!

Nothing to say really....

Will is doing fine, other than a scraped up knee and a bruise on his forehead. He FINALLY cut his last canine so we are now the proud parents of a child with 16 teeth. I hope his 2 year molars don't come in till he's 3. Yesterday we went to the outlet mall, but I did such a great job controlling spending! I walked out with a whopping 4.00 purchase and nothing else! We are preparing to go to Kokomo, IN next week to see Happy and Grandma Jeanie. I reserved lots of Teletubbies DVD's from the library for the journey, and I am planning on lots of creative snacks and activities. I am hoping to figure out where rest stops are along the way so we can all get out about every 2 hours. That's about it for around here. It's hot as stink and humid so we have been going to the pool a lot, and we seek out other air conditioned activities. I want to be back in Washington so badly this time of year!

Naked n'such....

"Why no, I'm not wearing any pants."

Will is very particular about how he eats his yogurt!

Will and Daddy went to this much too big playground while I was at work!
