Gabriela's First Haircut!

This weekend Gabriela and Alessandra came over to play and we took them to the salon close by for haircuts. It was Gabi's first and she really liked it! I can't seem to get the pictures in order, blogger is having issues!

The Challenge...

Will has been testing lately. Already. He pinches you, which actually hurts, and then you tell him no, and he looks at you like, "What? I was just pinching you, Wuss!" The bigger problem is that when he looks at me like that I start to laugh, because it is pretty darn cute. So then he thinks it's funny. I can't figure out how to stay stern and serious, I always end up laughing. I must learn to control it.

Growing up...

My little boy is getting big. And opinionated. And stubborn. Like me. Ugh. He has so many of the same traits that I value and resent in myself at the same time. I love that I am determined, and I love that he is too, until I have to take away the phone. Or make him to stop hitting the TV with a block. He screams, he flails his limbs, he arches his back, and he strikes out. Already. I realized that the old adage of "What comes around goes around" is true. I am now on the receiving end of all the "Challenges" I gave my mother. I see the passion and zest for life that courses through my veins in his. I hope that I have the ability to harness and mold this little firecracker into a productive member of society....

Date Night: It only took 10 months!

Tonight Jason and I finally left William. Molly is still here so we hit the town. First we went Bowling, my high score 67, Jason's 109. Sad isn't it? After 2 great games, we went to Red Lobster, which was the last place we went for lunch before I was induced. It was so nice being out, just the two of us again. We did spend a lot of time talking about William, but other subjects did come up occasionally. We stayed out a whopping 3 hours! Now we just have to find someone in the area we feel comfortable with so we can do it again someday.

Yet Another Outing in Washington

Today after I got off work, we went to DC to the American Indian Museum. It's one of the newest Smithsonian Museums. It was good, but really not all that well ordered. We had terrible fry bread, which I have had in the past, and this was very sub par. We also walked up as close as you could to the Capitol Building, they had some of it blocked off to prepare the front for the inauguration. Will had a good time, he loves to be out and about. We finished off the New Year's Day with Chinese food from "Happy Uncle". No one seems to know why it is called "Happy Uncle" but it is great! Will had his first veggie fried rice and cashew chicken, which he seemed to like a lot. After that he was in the tub and off to bed. He is back to sleeping really well, sleeping from about 8pm to 7 am every morning! By the way, I am feeling quite a bit better after a burst of Prednisone, the cough still sounds pretty awful, but I am not wheezing like I was before. Will seems to have a slight cold, but nothing like what Molly and I had. Hope everyone had a good New Years Day!
